Suits his Style is an Ottawa-based, nonprofit that supports the employment opportunities of men in need by providing professional attire with the vision of a world in which everyone is given the opportunity to excel.

Scott McNaughton co-founded Suits his Style in 2014 with a like-minded group of individuals who all believed in the confidence boost and good first impression that a well fitted suit can make. Scott has a background in design thinking and strongly believes that building personal empathy and understanding your clients is the key to success. Scott brings professional expertise as a leader to his role at Suits his Style.

Scott works as a business transformation lead with Transport Canada leading a national project to move paper based services to a new client centric online platform. He has previously worked with the Community of Federal Regulators and Health Canada in policy, program and administrative roles, learning early the importance of creating client-centric products, services and experiences.

He holds an undergraduate degree with joint honours in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Ottawa.

Hilary Allaire, Director of Communications

Hilary Allaire graduated in 2016 from the University of Ottawa with a major in English Literature and a minor in Economics.

She has worked on communications teams in several public sector organizations, including the Ottawa Hospital, Statistics Canada, Health Canada, and more. In 2017, she led Health Canada’s Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign, which raised a significant amount of funds and accumulated thousands of volunteer hours for those in need in the National Capital Region. She is excited to continue to help her community by volunteering with Suits His Style.

Juliet is passionate about helping others, and recognizes the value of providing caring community supports to rehabilitate and guide individuals towards self-sufficiency and independence. She graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2014 with an honours BA, Majoring in Linguistics, and is a jack-of-all trades for the organization, responsible for on-site inventory tracking, volunteer management, client scheduling and the creation of public documents.

Juliet currently works for the City of Ottawa, providing support for the special needs division in a range of capacities, including therapeutic day programs, autism recreation programs for children, and integrative support.

Profile Anil Verma, Director of Fund Development

Anil Verma has been working in the Ottawa technology sector for over 16 years. He is presently a Senior Sales Executive with Microsoft Canada and is a graduate of Ottawa University with a honours degree in International Business and Management Information Systems. Born and raised in Ottawa, he has been an active part of the community working with organizations like the Red Cross as a Youth Advisor, Habitat for Humanity as a Member of the Board and supporting many local community organizations like the Ottawa Sindhi Association.

Anil is our newest Board Member at Suits His Style and will be focusing on fundraising and partnerships to help support our growth and expansion over the next few years.

j_duff_bio_picture Jason Duff , Director of Facility and Inventory Management

Jason joined Suits His Style in June 2016 bringing with him over 5 years of retail and inventory experience as a sales representative at Tommy and Lefebvre (2001 to 2006) and at Sporting Life (2014 to 2015). After working in retail, Jason earned a B.Sc (Hons.) in earth sciences from Memorial University and a M.Sc. from the University of Ottawa in 2014. He has over 5 years experience in mineral exploration, with special interest in orogenic gold deposits. His primary role with SHS is donation pick-ups, warehousing and inventory management. He also assists with client fittings and public outreach events.

Joshua Black , Treasurer

Joshua Black is a CPA, CMA and is serving as Treasurer for Suits His Style.

Currently, Josh works as an auditor with the Federal Government of Canada, and has over a decade of financial management experience with experience in both the public and private sectors.

Cameron McWade, Director of Volunteer Management

Cameron has spent his career working in the financial services industry and has been working with MD Financial Management at their head office in Ottawa since the fall of 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in finance from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia and a Masters of Business Administration from SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan, Italy.

Cameron joined Suits His Style in March 2017 to conduct client suit fittings as a way to share his passion and knowledge of menswear with men in need in the community. He has recently joined the SHS Board as the Director of Volunteers where his focus will be on managing current volunteers and establishing programs to recruit new volunteers to meet the needs of the organization as they arise.
